Several hardcore pro-trans rights protestors were arrested following violent clashes with police and media outlets during a rally in Melbourne’s CBD on Saturday.

Several hardcore pro-trans protesters were arrested in dramatic scenes during a counter rally in the city on Saturday.

Around 7000 people are expected to take part in the protest, which will begin in Queens Park and continue across the Victoria Bridge and end in Musgrave Park.

State Opposition Leader Brad Battin has claimed Victorians are being made “less safe” by Melbourne’s frequent pro-Palestine protests.
