According to authorities, an instructor died and a skydiver needed to be rescued from a tree after skydiving in Nashville on Saturday.
A 35-year-old skydiving instructor was killed Saturday after he was "presumed to have fallen from the sky without a parachute," Tennessee police said. The instructor has been identified as Justin Robert Fuller of Murfreesboro, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a statement to NBC News.
The skydiving instructor who fell to his death Oct. 4 has been identified as Justin Robert Fuller, 35, of Murfreesboro. The tragedy happened about 2 p.m. Oct. 4 after Fuller and his client jumped from an airplane flying out of John C. Tune Airport, the Nashville Police Department said.
Mitchell Deakin fell approximately 11,000 feet through the air before crashing while skydiving on vacation in Las Vegas. The 25-year-old was with a 54-year-old instructor in the air when their parachute malfunctioned.
