Join us for an afternoon bottle feeding and a quick update on our little 10-week-old moose calf! The male Alaska moose, who joined #CMZoo on July 15, after being orphaned outside of Anchorage, is growing and settling in well! He now weighs over 120 pounds! He still doesn't have a name, but he will soon. Last night, a long-time Zoo supporter won the right to name him in our Zoo Ball auction, which is now closed. He still gets three bottle feedings per day, but is very slowly weaning off milk. He

This was in fall, and the second to last time I ever saw "Splashy". For those who don't know, Splashy really didn't like water, and would immediately swim to shore when her mother would lead her out into the lake.
